The main narrative is engaging, built around a prophecy concerning the return of the Elder Dragon Vorrathax and your character's role in either preventing or facilitating that event.
Where the story stumbles is in its pacing. The middle act drags considerably, with a series of fetch quests that feel disconnected from the main narrative thrust. This is a common RPG pitfall, but it is more noticeable here because the opening and closing acts are so compelling.
